I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! This was my second Easter outside of the United States. Last year we did not do anything to celebrate the holiday. We were still getting our feet settled in Haiti and it came and went without us putting a second thought to it. But this year we were a little better prepared. Christi and Robert McDown from Ada, Ok came down to visit for the weekend and they brought along plenty of treats for the kids. A group of people from Ada worked to put together nearly 300 eggs full of candy and some even with nail polish for the kids. We chose to have Robert hide all of the eggs while we were gone to church. When the kids got back I corralled them to their rooms and when everyone was in…we blew a whistle. You should have seen the doors bust open. It looked like a jail break with all of the kids running and screaming as they headed for those precious plastic eggs. The rain that we had in the morning did not slow any of the children down from running through the soccer field or slogging across the drive way. I think they really enjoyed their time. Enjoy the photos…
More pictures to come.
